What you'll do
Activate a finished form for orders and share its public URL, QR code, or responsive embed.
Steps
- Open the form in the builder and save your changes.
- Open Settings → Publishing and turn Form Status on when the form is ready to accept orders.
- Choose the Publish tab and review the public link.
- Choose Copy Link, download or print the QR code, copy the responsive iframe or direct-link button, or use the Email, Facebook, X, or WhatsApp share control.
- Open the public link in a signed-out browser and complete a final buyer check.
What buyers see
An active public form uses a URL such as ezformz.net/f/your-form-slug. An inactive form is unavailable and shows Form Not Found. An active form with a future open date can keep the link shareable while buyers see a countdown until ordering begins. A close date or reached submission limit shows Form Closed.
For an active, Public form with a usable saved header image, the large-media card uses that header, the form title by itself, and a short Powered by EZFormz. line. EZFormz does not append its name to the card title or advertise a separate Open Graph site-name line. The receiving app still controls typography and may add its own domain or site label. If the form has no usable public header image, EZFormz advertises no Open Graph or X/Twitter card and does not substitute EZFormz artwork.
Password-protected, invite-only, and inactive forms with a usable header still show that image but use generic preview text so gated details are not exposed before access. Without a usable header, they advertise no social card. The receiving app decides whether that becomes a plain link or a text-only preview. Messaging apps may also cache an older preview after you update a form; that cache belongs to the receiving platform and may clear only after time passes or the link is shared in a new conversation.
Sharing choices
- Link: best for messages, email, and social profiles.
- QR code: best for printed material or in-person displays.
- Embed: places the form in an iframe on another website and keeps the form theme. The generated code includes a listener for EZFormz resize messages and adjusts the iframe height while checking the expected origin and frame.
- Direct-link button: creates a styled link based on the form's button theme and opens the public form in a new tab.
The responsive embed sends a message shaped as { source: 'ezformz', context: 'iframe.resize', height, slug }. If a site builder strips the listener script, the form can still load in the iframe but may stay at the fixed fallback height. Test the installed embed at phone and desktop widths on the destination site.
Activate, deactivate, and schedule the form
Turn Form Status on or off in Settings → Publishing, or use the On/Off control on Dashboard. An active form accepts orders subject to its access, schedule, stock, and submission rules. An inactive form is unavailable and shows Form Not Found; close dates and reached limits show Form Closed instead.
To announce a form before ordering starts, keep it published and configure Settings, Submission Limits, Open Date. Buyers see a countdown until the stored time; the page reloads when it reaches zero. A Close Date stops later submissions. Always confirm both gates from the signed-out public link.
If the public result is incomplete, return to Create your first order form, save the correction, and test the public link again.
